Certain categories of citizen are entitled to a 50% discount on their MTPL premium. Note that the discount can be used for one vehicle only.
The discount applies to:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

  1. Pensioners<\/li>
  2. Combat veterans<\/li>
  3. People with a group 1 or group 2 disability.<\/li>
  4. Chornobyl victims in category 1 or 2.<\/li>
  5. War veterans.<\/li>
  6. Injured participants of the Revolution of Dignity.<\/li><\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

    The conditions for using the MTPL discount are as follows:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

    1. The vehicle belongs to the person entitled to the discount.<\/li>
    2. The vehicle is driven either by that person, or by another person who is also entitled to a discount.<\/li>
    3. The insured vehicle is not used commercially (carrying goods or passengers for payment).<\/li>
    4. For people with a group 1 disability, the MTPL policy also covers the vehicle being driven by another person, provided the entitled person is present.<\/li>
    5. Only for vehicles with an engine capacity up to 2500 cubic centimetres or an electric motor rated up to 100 kilowatts inclusive.<\/li><\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

      If the conditions for using the vehicle are breached, the Law of Ukraine allows a recovery claim against the person responsible for the insured event. This can be a substantial sum.
      Note that the state may widen the list of eligible categories, provided it compensates insurers for the 50% discount out of the state budget.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
